Medical Cannabis
A guide for new patients
At Curaleaf Clinic, medical cannabis can be prescribed by specialist doctors and delivered direct to you. Here’s how it works, from checking your eligibility for an online consultation to receiving a prescription.
What is medical cannabis?
Medical cannabis refers to any medicine produced from the cannabis plant.
It is regulated to ensure it meets strict standards of safety and quality.
It is available in many forms which are prescribed for eligible patients according to their individual needs.
Your consultant will explain everything you need to know about taking your medicine.
How it works
Specialist doctors can prescribe medical cannabis to patients with a wide range of diagnosed conditions, including chronic pain, mental health and neurological disorders.
You may be eligible for a consultation if you have a diagnosed physical or mental health condition that has not been relieved by traditional therapies.
It’s simple to get started. Watch the video for our step-by-step guide.

Our Promise on Initial Appointments
We review every application carefully before offering a consultation, so we only book appointments for people who appear likely to be suitable for medical cannabis treatment.
The consultation is a crucial part of the assessment, and being invited does not mean a prescription is guaranteed. It allows a specialist to understand you and your condition in more detail and determine whether treatment is appropriate.
We believe in keeping the process fair and transparent.
What is the Curaleaf Access Scheme?
The Curaleaf Access Scheme allows our patients to access more affordable care by contributing to the UK Medical Cannabis Registry.
Simply complete regular questionnaires about your health and symptoms and report any changes.
This allows you to clearly monitor your health and how it changes over time. It also helps us learn more about medical cannabis and how it is tolerated across different conditions.
As the largest registry of its kind, this data is crucial for educating healthcare professionals, our own prescribers and the public.
