Doctor James Rucker

Dr Rucker is an NIHR Clinician Scientist with over 15 years of psychiatric experience and extensive clinical trial expertise, specialising in mood disorders and novel psychopharmacological treatments.

He leads the Psychoactive Trials Group at the Centre for Affective Disorders, focusing on treatment-resistant depression and related conditions. He specialises in mood disorders in adults, novel psychopharmacological approaches, psychotherapy clinical trials, and the use of psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine, and cannabinoids to treat mental health conditions.
