Full spectrum

Full-spectrum medical cannabis contains the entire range of naturally occurring compounds found in the cannabis plant. Isolated products, on the other hand, contain just one purified cannabinoid, with all other plant elements removed. This means that full spectrum medical cannabis products will contain other cannabinoids, as well as other compounds called terpenes and flavonoids. We are still learning more about their potential therapeutic effects, but our clinicians will always be on hand to guide eligible patients as to what is best for their condition.

Full spectrum products may contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound in cannabis known for its psychoactive effects. However, at Curaleaf Clinic, medical cannabis is prescribed at carefully controlled doses intended to manage symptoms without causing intoxication.

Clinicians work closely with patients to find a dose and formulation that meets their needs while helping to minimise unwanted side effects.

The goal of prescribed full spectrum medical cannabis is to support patients in managing specific symptoms—such as pain, anxiety, or inflammation—not to produce a “high.”
