Dr. Sodergren’s research focuses on immunomodulatory cancer therapies, medical cannabis, surgical device advancements, and medical eye tracking. He previously held the NIHR TCC Academic Clinical Lectureship in Surgery at Imperial College and pioneered NOTES in the UK.

Doctor Mikael Sodergren

Dr Sodergren is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London and Consultant Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He is also the Chief Medical Officer of Curaleaf International, leading clinical and pre-clinical cannabinoid research, and leads the Imperial College Medical Cannabis Research Group.

Dr Sodergren specialises in complex pancreas, liver, and gallbladder surgeries, including keyhole and robotic techniques. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and holds an internationally patented surgical device.

Dr Philipps is a clinical neuroscientist specialising in the endocannabinoid system, medical cannabis, CBD, and integrative medicine. As Clinical Lead at the Medical Cannabis Alliance, she advances cannabinoid medicine research and policy reforms. Dr Philipps empowers health management through lifestyle, diet, and plant-based medicines.
